**Job Description:**
The Network Security Analyst position responsibilities include securing Linux and Windows operating systems, databases, applications, network switching, network routing, packet analysis, threat defense, system forensics. Daily system reviews to ensure that all LAN, WAN, Firewall, Telecommunications, Voice and Voice mail systems are secure and free of unauthorized access. Ensure that best practices and sound procedures are followed in the management of all infrastructure systems. Associate must be knowledgeable and articulate using sound security skills in a variety of the network concepts, practices and procedures to manage Dollar Tree s information security and operational risk.
**Candidates must fulfill the follow requirements:**
+ Assists in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of security systems (e.g. user log-on/authentication, patch level requirements and monitoring, firewall usage, security audit/breach escalation procedures)
+ Firewall administration experience
+ In depth networking knowledge. Experience with Cisco routers and switches.
+ Must have a complete understanding of TCP/IP and diagnosing network issues to the packet level.
+ Responsible for tracking and monitoring of software viruses via the systems, software and procedures to prevent them.
+ Monitor systems logs and reports to identify possible security exceptions. Enforce the security policies by reporting on discrepancies and identifying risks discovered.
+ Must provide support expertise in a homogenous client/server TCP/IP environment which includes MS Windows, Linux, SQL, Cisco, Checkpoint, VOIP, and others.
**Educational Dimensions:**
+ Bachelor s degree in computer science, information systems or other related field. Equivalent work experience can be a substitute.
+ 5 years of direct network security work experience.
+ CISSP and other related IT certifications are a plus.
**Technical:**
+ Advanced knowledge of the security and networking environments and supporting technologies.
+ In-depth understanding of the OSI networking model and networking topologies.
+ Demonstrated, thorough knowledge of key protocols.
+ Knowledge of Linux and Microsoft systems and services.
+ Must be able to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems
