United WestLabs Inc. is a healthcare service company that implements and manages turn-key hospital-based laboratory Outreach Programs. United WestLabs currently operates numerous turn-key Programs that are considered some of the most successful hospital-based outreach lab Programs in the country.

United Westlabs, Inc. is looking for a well-qualified Operations Supervisor to oversee all operational and administrative functions of the laboratory and staff by supervising phlebotomy, processing, customer service and logistics.

The candidate will also be responsible for the coordination and the success of the billing functions. This position reports directly to the Program Manager and requires an experienced candidate with prior lab experience.

Duties including but not limited to:

Ensures the accuracy of specimen processing and the quality of specimens.
Monitors employee performance through evaluations, training and discipline
Assist with the successful outreach connectivity, EMR integration and quality reporting.
Maintains daily workflow through proper employee scheduling.
Demonstrates the ability to assume the job of any staff member in case of employee absence.
Reviews all operational reports and logs to track program efficiency.
Oversees the inventory of the lab supplies.
Oversees the billing process.
Ensures compliance with all federal, state and company regulations.
Monitors and ensures that testing is performed in a timely manner and results reported to the physicians within established standards of turnaround time.
Develops programs to improve laboratory efficiency and cost management

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:

Clinical Lab Technology background preferred;
At least 5 years management/supervisory experience in a laboratory or medical field;
Strong IT understanding with experience in EMR connectivity preferred;
Excellent customer service skills;
Experienced in phlebotomy;
Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to be flexible to changing priorities, and to handle multiple tasks;
Ability to schedule and plan workloads, implement systems and projects that align with company objectives;
Understanding of regulatory compliance and basic quality systems under CLIA and other related standards;
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills;
Flexible with work schedules, able to work 10-12 hour shifts, evenings and regular weekends as needed.
