You can learn more about CareMore's transformative approach to care here: * Des Moines Register - New Model: Insurers Hire Doctors * The Atlantic - The Quiet Healthcare Revolution The Associate Regional Medical Officer, CareMore Primary Care (Dallas/Fort Worth) will serve as the physician leader for the CareMore Primary Care market in the Dallas / Fort Worth, Texas area, focused on providing comprehensive primary care for managed Medicaid members with complex needs. The Associate Regional Medical Officer (ARMO) will bring CareMore's history of proven impact in Medicare and Medicaid populations to the area, leading clinical design & strategy, building and leading a clinical team capable of delivering comprehensive care for complex patients, and constantly innovating to deliver high quality outcomes and experience of care. The ARMO will be responsible for providing strategic, clinical, and operational direction to a team of physicians, NPs, case management, and other clinicians and working collaboratively with the business/operational leader of the market in a dyad leadership model. The ARMO will directly oversee the market clinical team and directly care for CareMore patients 50% of his or her time, through practice as either as an extensivist or primary care clinician. This is a significant clinical design and leadership role in an care delivery organization with proven results and a national footprint. The ARMO will report to CareMore's Regional Medical Officer and join a national cadre of forward-thinking clinical leadership across CA, AZ, NV, TN, IA, GA, and CT. Responsible for overseeing and providing internal medicine services to patients. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Creates a comprehensive and coordinated plan of care across all settings including hospitals, clinics, and Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs), which take into account medical records, patient and family, primary care physicians, and specialists. Makes hospital rounds daily. Collaborates with hospitals and care management teams and reviews patients with case managers. Attends to patients in CareMore Care Center (CCC) and assists nurse practitioners in reviewing cases. Attends to patients in the SNFs and attends SNF meetings to review cases. On call nights and weekends as scheduled. Trains and oversees new Hospitalists. Develops and improves training practices and materials. Supports utilization review and management of subspecialty costs. Participates in the management of clinical divisions. Develops and maintains provider relationships. Partners with management in building Hospital and SNF contacts/partners within the ER, Case Management and administration. Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports. Requires an MD or DO; completion of Internal Medicine residency; leadership experience, 3 years of experience as a Hospitalist. Requires current unrestricted medical licensure in applicable state(s) and board eligibility or board certification. DEA license required. For CareMore business units, satisfactory completion of a pre-placement Tuberculosis test is a requirement for this position.
