Job Description
Purpose and Scope of Job:

The Web Specialist : Global Advertising / Marketing Communications supports all PTC Global digital advertising efforts and will act as the Webmaster responsible for comprehensive administration of the Global Content Hub (Drupal Website) and the associated Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.

Assist in development and lead in governance of key processes aimed at internal and external Website and DAM users : to help increase online market exposure and customer interaction, which drives greater business for the company.

Also assist in general marcomm planning, reporting and executing tactical activities lead by Global Marcomm Manager.

This function will report directly to the Global Marketing Communications Manager (located in Chesapeake, VA), who then reports directly to PTC HQ in Tokyo.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):

:Govern global processes and content within Drupal:based global web Content Hub, the CMS (Content Management System), and DAM (Digital Asset Management system).
:Help establish key processes for effective maintenance of marketing assets and collateral in a multilingual environment; both for website(s) and DAM.
:Compile, measure, analyze and report website performance metrics (may also include; social media, mobile apps and digital video).
:Perform periodic reviews and reports on Drupal Content Hub and regional websites, and DAM.
:Provide guidance and support to global partners (including content editors) relating to Drupal Content Hub, CMS, regional websites, and DAM; either informally (ad hoc) or formally.
:Coordinate with vendors who support development and infrastructure of the global website development and hosting, including translations.
:Assist in development of SEO (search engine optimization) strategies to include web, social and multimedia communications using existing/emerging media concepts and content marketing plans to generate high levels of organic traffic.
:Analyze online user behavior and actively participate in planning new e:business initiatives.
:Assist in general global marcomm planning, coordinating, executing and reporting activities alongside Global Marcomm Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

:Bachelors Degree in Web Development, Marketing Communications or equivalent experience.
:Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in digital marketing, including web administration.
:Strong experience as a Webmaster and knowledge of Drupal 8 (CMS:based) website platform.
:Experienced knowledge of DAM (Digital Asset Management systems).
:Able to develop and implement workflow process for a matrix organization with multiple global partners and stakeholders.
Experience in working with vendors who provide development (and hosting) functions.
Strong knowledge in web marketing with a focus on reporting required, with knowledge of web strategy (and search engine marketing (SEM) a plus).
:Has strong understanding of SEM (organic and paid) a plus.
:Prefer an understanding of Paid Social Media Advertising.
:Understands test strategies (A/B testing, Multivariate) to help sites optimize results of regional marketing campaigns.
:Good analytical and decision making skills
:Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities and meet deadlines.
:Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
:Creativity, positive attitude, teamwork and strong attention to detail required.
:Proficient in MS Office suite, Google tools and Bing.
:Understanding of global search engines (Yahoo, Baidu, Naver) a plus.
:Fluency in written and spoken English is required, multilingual skills are preferred.

Work Conditions and Physical Environment:

Travel requirements include domestic and international travel between 10:20. Travel activity will be coordinated with applicable PTC management. Possession of or ability to obtain passport is required.
