Damuth Trane (Voted as one of the Best Places to Work in Virginia for 2017) is seeking a BAS Technical Center of Excellence for our office in Chesapeake, Virginia.

Primary Role
Helps create a high-quality BAS System experience for clients through professional training. Responsible for evaluating BAS training needs and developing and delivering training programs to address these BAS needs for both internal and external customers. Provide focused technical support to Damuth Trane s fulfillment teams to resolve new or especially challenging BAS scenarios. Develop associate skills, demonstrate, and promote the use of Intelligent Services tools into all parts of the business.

Education & Experience
+ Required - High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Preferred Minimum 8 years of combined experience in Commercial HVAC Service, BAS installation or BAS Service
+ Required Minimum 3-years experience with Trane Tracer Summit BCU and associated software tools (TGP, Rover, TU)
+ Required Minimum 2-years experience with Trane Tracer SC and associated software tools
+ Required Minimum 3-years experience using or servicing Trane Unit Controllers
+ Required Ability and desire to create, edit, and deliver engaging and interactive training classes using Microsoft PowerPoint and other software
+ Required Ability, confidence, and desire to teach BAS training modules to class sizes up to 25 people
+ Required Strong internet search skills.
+ Desired Experience with BACnet integration
+ Desired Experience with BAS Network architecture and network security firewalls and standards
Language Skills
+ Required - Ability to communicate both written and orally.
+ Required - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
+ Required - Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
+ Required - Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations
+ Required - Valid driver s license and good driving record.
Physical Demands
+ Required - Mobility within the office and on the jobsite.
+ Required - Ability to climb and navigate various types of ladders, roof access hatches, etc.
+ Required - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
+ Required - The employee frequently is required to walk and use hands to operate computer keyboard, mouse and telephone keyboard.

+ This position works in a typical office environment with regular visits to job sites which includes outdoor work and work in mechanical/equipment rooms.
+ During the job site visits, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Advance field personnel s technical abilities.
+ Provides input for service and BAS technician performance reviews using product/skills as evidenced in training classes and field visits.
+ Maintain all training records associated with BAS.
+ Work with Team Leaders to oversee Individual Technician Career Development Plan.
+ Field-based technician skills improvement.
+ Coordinate with Team Leaders to conduct field visits with technician as necessary.
+ Perform 8 hours or more of remote job site visits weekly.
+ Develop and conduct client training programs, focused on BAS systems.
+ Maintain a database of training materials, including printed materials, electronic slide decks, and other materials as necessary to support the mission of training both the technician base and supporting clients BAS training needs.
+ Prepare an annual written training plan for BAS technicians defining specific objectives, action plans, target dates, and budget.
+ Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leaders to identify and develop training programs for owners and operators of Trane BAS systems.
+ Assist with Damuth clients and jobs as the primary technical expert for solving complex Trane BAS issues for Damuth clients.
+ Assist BAS and Service technicians in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and development of solutions for any jobs or clients, as directed by the team leader.
Customer Service
+ Provide Gold Standard customer service. Be reliable, be responsive, make customers feel valued, be empathetic, and be competent.
+ Return all customer inquiries within 24 hours. Answer customer calls and e-mail quickly, thoroughly and, pleasantly. Communicate with customers in a friendly, professional, and patient manner.
+ Perform all duties with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
+ Immediately address any customer s concern. Request the involvement of other Company personnel as required. Notify Team Leader of any major concerns and the action taken to resolve it.
+ Never say or act as though something is not your job.
